THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Identify the cable and ownership.
- Record location and known facts.
- Separate cable theft and vehicle theft.
Ask about the cable on its own
Fidelidade’s motor page mentions cables under theft and vandalism benefits in specified options. That reference does not explain every situation where a cable disappears without vehicle damage. Request the wording addressing the particular item and event. An electric-vehicle product label alone does not establish inclusion.

Fictional example in a shared garage
Fictional example: Rita’s portable cable disappears from a shared garage while the car remains there without visible damage. She records what she knows and distinguishes the cable from the building’s fixed charger. She contacts the competent organisations and insurer without accusing a neighbour or inventing signs of forced entry. The story proves neither theft nor anyone’s liability; it organises a question about a specific item.
Identify the item without pre-judging the claim
Find the equipment reference, available purchase evidence and its relationship to the vehicle. Ask whether storage location, connection to the car or disappearance circumstances affect the assessment, and which limits and excesses matter. Separate observed facts from suspicions. If condominium documents are relevant, establish which ones are needed before sharing them. An equipment list helps prepare the file; it does not establish entitlement to replacement or reimbursement.
Prepare your motor enquiry
On rmachado.group select Automóvel and request a comparison of charging-cable protection, insured circumstances and excesses. Identify the equipment type without posting documents or garage access details.
