THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Identify the spare or repair kit.
- Confirm the authorised service.
- Separate labour and materials.
Distinguish the situations
LOGO's MAX assistance wording provides, under its stated terms, for fitting a spare already in the vehicle. That differs from supplying a new tyre.

Fictional example
Fictional example: Marta finds a flat tyre before leaving a car park. Her car carries a repair kit but no spare wheel. When contacting assistance, she explains that difference and asks which service is available for that vehicle. She does not assume the procedure for a car with a spare will apply. If a workshop is involved, she separates transport from assessment and the cost of a tyre.
Put the distinction to work
Before travelling, establish whether the car carries a spare or a kit and where the manufacturer's specified equipment is kept. Do not attempt repairs in an unsafe place. When comparing insurance, distinguish roadside service, recovery, material costs and usage limits. Use the motor insurance guide to organise these questions; RMACHADO GROUP can help compare the assistance provisions with the way you actually use your car.
