THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Separate planned care from assistance for sudden events.
- Check territory and duration for each cover.
- Keep contacts and confirmed conditions accessible.
One contract can contain different scopes
The reviewed March 2025 Allianz Saúde conditions distinguish the territory of its covers from travel assistance. The latter addresses accidents or sudden illness abroad subject to its own requirements and limits. This example does not establish unlimited worldwide protection for every policy.
Identify the cover and event first, instead of asking only whether a card is accepted in a country.
Prepare two use scenarios
For planned care, state the country, provider and procedure for consideration. For a trip, state destination, dates, duration and purpose. Request a documented answer for each situation and identify unresolved points.
Fictional example: a family holidays abroad and considers a consultation booked in advance during the stay. An answer about sudden-illness assistance does not settle that consultation. They are different enquiries despite occurring on the same trip.
Read limits with procedures
Ask about territory, maximum trip duration, expenses considered, applicable limit and contact procedure. If authorisation or assistance-service involvement is required, keep the explanation of how to obtain it.
Compare the roles of existing contracts, including any travel protection, without assuming identical events or additive limits. Record the question each contract addresses rather than only its commercial name.
Keep a practical travel note
Our suggestion is a private page with contacts, policy references and confirmed instructions, available offline too. Keep relevant documents for the process; this guide is not a reason to delay urgent care.
Request a quote or review from RMACHADO describing destination and protection sought. Assessment of actual expenses depends on the policy terms and applicable procedure.
KEEP THESE QUESTIONS
Your checklist for the next conversation

FROM THE ARTICLE TO YOUR SITUATION
Let us discuss your situation
Tell us what you want to protect. We review your request and help compare relevant terms. Requesting a quotation does not activate insurance.
