The same fault stopped the car again: is another recovery call enough?

Assistance addresses an immobilised vehicle within its applicable service; it does not replace arranging repairs. When the same problem returns, review the history and wording before assuming each call will be treated as an entirely new situation.

THE ESSENTIALS

Before you start

  • Keep intervention references.
  • Separate diagnosis and suspicion.
  • Disclose earlier assistance.

Read the usage conditions too

Generali Tranquilidade excludes repeated breakdowns linked to missing repairs or negligence. Applying that wording requires the case and contract to be assessed. It does not mean every second call is refused or that two breakdowns close together necessarily share a cause.

Fictional example: dates are not a diagnosis

Fictional example: Ana’s van was taken to a workshop and became immobilised again a week later. She gathers the repair order and available report without inventing a technical cause. When contacting assistance, she discloses the earlier intervention. Service availability and the cause remain to be confirmed; the story attributes negligence to neither Ana nor the workshop.

Keep a useful history

Record the date, assistance reference, workshop and stated work for each episode. Separate confirmed diagnosis from the driver’s suspicion. If the reply refers to repetition, ask which fact and clause it concerns. Also retain what remains unresolved in the repair. This organisation does not guarantee further free recovery but avoids examining repeated calls without context.

Prepare your motor enquiry

For a future protection review, select Automóvel on rmachado.group and request a comparison of assistance limits and terms. A new enquiry does not alter a decision concerning an earlier episode.

KEEP THESE QUESTIONS

Your checklist for the next conversation

  • Ask for the basis of any restriction.
  • Clarify outstanding repairs.
