THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Define the business need.
- Identify the intended recipient.
- Check existing agreements.
Distinguish the situations
Zurich lists key-person protection among the purposes of Proteção Plena. That does not replace a specific contractual definition of beneficiaries and purpose.

Fictional example
Fictional example: two partners want to prepare for continuity of their small company. One envisages funds for the business to hire help; the other imagines a payment to the deceased partner's family. Before comparing amounts, they write down those intentions and request an assessment alongside existing company agreements. They do not assume that payment to the company transfers shares or automatically fulfils obligations between heirs and partners.
Put the distinction to work
Identify who bears the economic loss, who needs liquidity and when it would be needed. Ask the appropriate professionals to check the legal coherence of the agreements; an insurance quotation does not replace that work. Through the life insurance guide, RMACHADO GROUP can help formulate the protection enquiry while keeping the business objective separate from the family's financial protection.
