THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Identify the space and use.
- Evidence the income.
- Separate income and repairs.
Look for the benefit and its recipient
Allianz Condomínio’s product information includes a loss-of-use or income benefit subject to the product terms. That example does not establish cover for every room or receipt. Identify the insured space, the party entitled to the income and the circumstances contemplated by the actual contract.

Separate evidenced rent from expectation
Fictional example: a building rents a small room for an authorised activity. After damage, the agreement and receipts help explain income no longer received. The administrator separates this from a future booking that was never confirmed. They also identify the unavailable period without assuming it automatically matches the entire duration of building works.
Review before introducing a new use
If the space will start generating income, clarify its use and insured interests before relying on the existing policy. Ask about the income benefit’s limit, period and conditions. Use RMACHADO GROUP’s home multirisk guide to prepare a review distinguishing the physical building from the economic consequences of damage to it.
