The plan and the pack may be separate choices
The December 2025 Fidelidade Viagem information distinguishes Viagem 2 Snow from an optional Pack Contexto Snow, listing rescue, equipment and other costs. This is a concrete reason to check benefits rather than relying only on the plan name.
Request the schedule for the actual proposal, including insured amounts, excesses and extras. Describe the trip's origin and destination and check which schedule applies. Create a column for each protection sought and mark anything you have not found in the document.
Describe the sport beyond the word 'snow'
The rescue example refers to amateur skiing without jumps on marked pistes and snowboarding. Explain whether you intend to leave marked pistes, compete or try another activity. A question about a 'snow holiday' should include the actual activities planned.
Fictional example: someone books lessons on marked pistes while leaving an off-piste activity undecided. Both intentions should be disclosed before contracting and answered specifically. Acceptance of an activity cannot be inferred from a hotel booking or resort lift pass.
Equipment and cancellation have their own conditions
In the reviewed document, equipment damage is linked to an accident suffered by the insured person. For comparison, distinguish a standalone breakdown, damage during an accident and other mishaps. Identify owned or hired equipment and the documents you will be able to provide.
Snow-related cancellation has evidence and timing requirements. Before booking, ask separate questions about the insured reason, resort information and non-refundable expense. An unfavourable forecast is not a reason to fill in those answers by assumption.
Prepare assistance before departure
Keep the assistance contact and activation procedure accessible during the trip. Check how to request arrangements and which documents to retain. In an emergency, seek the appropriate rescue services; reading the policy must not delay necessary help.
The European Health Insurance Card does not replace travel insurance, as the European Commission explains. For a quotation from RMACHADO, provide the destination, dates, participants and activities. Do not post detailed itineraries or personal documents on social media; request a comparison of the benefits you actually need.
