THE ESSENTIALS
Before you start
- Separate rider travel, bicycle transport and repairs.
- Find the services intended for the rider.
- Ask specifically about the bicycle and replacement parts.
Break the situation into specific requests
Fictional example: Marta has a wheel problem during a ride. She has no injuries, but needs to organise her return and get the bicycle to a workshop. Before attributing any expense to insurance, she separates transport for herself, transport for the bicycle and the repair.
This short list prevents one need being treated as evidence of another benefit. It is neither a mechanical diagnosis nor an accident report. If there is immediate danger, seek appropriate help first; reading a quotation does not replace safety at the scene.
Check whom the service assists
The Lusitania Bicycle page describes assistance for people and presents liability and personal accident benefits separately. This does not establish that workshop services, parts or repairs are included. It illustrates one product rather than a rule shared by all insurance policies.
For the actual quotation, identify services for the rider and for the bicycle. Ask when they can be used, in which territory, through which contact and whether prior authorisation is required. Clarify any costs you must meet before arranging services independently.

Keep unresolved questions visible
Retain the answer with the version considered. If repairs have not been clarified, keep that question open rather than treating them as included. Apply the same approach to bicycle transport: assistance for a person does not itself prove collection of equipment.
Read the Bicycle guide on rmachado.group and select Bicicletas/Ciclo in the website request if you want a quotation. Explain your objective without posting personal routes, contact details or documents in comments. Acceptance and scope depend on the quotation and applicable terms.
KEEP THESE QUESTIONS
Your checklist for the next conversation
- Separate rider travel, bicycle transport and repairs.
- Find the services intended for the rider.
- Ask specifically about the bicycle and replacement parts.
- Confirm contact, territory and prior authorisation.
- Keep the answer with the quotation reviewed.

Let us discuss your situation
Tell us what you want to protect. We review your request and help compare relevant terms. Requesting a quotation does not activate insurance.
